Reports
Contact reports
How many contacts you have in each status, how fast the list is growing, where people come from and how engaged they are.
# Contact reports The contact report shows who is in your CRM and how that is changing. Open **Reports**; the **Contacts** tab is the first. Use the date range at the top right to choose the period. It starts at the last 30 days. Only the growth charts follow the range; the other cards describe your contacts as they are today. ## Status totals The cards along the top count your contacts by status — **Subscribed**, **Pending**, **Unsubscribed**, **Transactional**, **Bounced**, **Complained**, **Spammed** and **No consent** — with each one's share of the whole, and **Total contacts** at the end. These are the contact statuses you see on each contact's record. See [Contacts](/contacts/) for what each means. ## Contact growth **Contact growth** charts how many contacts were added in each day, week or month of the range. Longer ranges are grouped into weeks or months. - The first menu compares the period with another: **Previous period** (the same number of days just before), **Previous month**, **Same period last year**, or **No comparison**. - **Line** and **Bars** switch the chart's style. A contact counts on the day they were created in the CRM, however they arrived. ## Tags and lists The **Tags** and **Lists** cards show your largest tags and lists and how many contacts hold each. Contacts who unsubscribed from a list are not counted in it. Pick a tag or list from the card's menu to chart how many contacts gained it in each part of the range instead. ## Where they come from The breakdown card has three tabs: - **Map** — contacts by country, on a world map. - **Country** — the same, as a ranked list. - **How they arrived** — contacts by the source recorded when they were added, such as a WordPress account. Click a country or a source to open the contacts list filtered to those people. Both read the **Country** and source on each contact's record. Contacts without one are not counted here. ## How engaged they are **How engaged they are** groups contacts by their last open or click of any email from you: - **Engaged, last 30 days** - **Cooling, 30–90 days** - **Dormant, 90+ days** - **Never engaged** — no recorded open or click. :::note This is built from open and click tracking, so it is only as good as the tracking. Opens are approximate (some mail apps open every email by themselves), and nothing is recorded while tracking is off in [Settings → Email defaults](/settings/email/). Once the **Email history** period in [Settings → Privacy and data](/settings/privacy/) deletes old emails, opens and clicks older than that no longer count, and those contacts can move to **Never engaged**. :::The contact report shows who is in your CRM and how that is changing.
